Your new role
Working closely with the Finance Controller, you will liaise with the accounts assistants on closing the ledgers at month end and resolving any queries, through to assisting with the monthly management accounts. At the month end, you will process the journals, reconcile the balance sheet, produce reports on budgets and cashflow as well as assist with the year-end audit process. As you progress, you are likely to take responsibility for one of the group accounts on a monthly basis.
What you'll need to succeed
You will already be studying for your professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA) and already possess current experience in both daily accounting processes with some month-end duties as well. Excellent communication skills are required in order to liaise with colleagues, stakeholders and external contacts, along with strong Excel/It skills. The ability to work collaboratively with your team is essential in succeeding in this position.
