Client Summary:
A leading manufacturer of specialist fabrications for the Aerospace Industry.
Position Summary:
Quality Inspector - Working as part of a team to ensure company and industry standard within the manufacture of aerospace fabrications. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Assisting in internal auditing
- Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred
- Quality Inspection of parts using verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators);
- Provide 1st Article Inspection Reports
- Working to ISO 9001 and ISO 5001
- Non-conformance procedures
- Conduct root cause analyses, SPC and other appropriate quality tools and techniques to ensure that the manufacturing processes meet customer requirements
- Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages within business
Candidates will have:
- Experience in an engineering background
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience in a quality control environment preferred
- Experience of Machining / Fabrications and Treatments
- Experience in lean tools such as 8D, Kaizen (Continues Improvement) processes
- CMM experience advantageous but not essential
