Elevation Recruitment is partnering with a leading Financial Services client to find an Interim Financial Accountant.
The role offers a hybrid working setup with two days in the Lancaster office and flexibility to work from home.
As Financial Accountant, you'll oversee critical month-end processes, ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations, and manage key regulatory calculations. In addition, you'll deliver insightful financial analysis to support senior management in making strategic, data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post month-end journals with supporting documentation.
- Analyse profit and loss accounts to ensure accurate coding.
- Perform regulated financial calculations and ensure compliance.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts by day 10 each month.
- Assist with year-end audits and provide support to external auditors.
- Monitor cashflow and contribute to forecasting.
- Review and approve payments, ensuring proper documentation.
- Support the implementation of new financial software.
- Continuously improve finance processes and controls.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills (SUMIFS, XLOOKUPS, SUBTOTALS).
- Experience in financial services, ideally with an audit background.
- Great communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines
