Your role will be vital in maintaining effective legal operations and supporting colleagues and external stakeholders.

Our client is a pioneering not-for-profit entity with a mission to transform youth employment outcomes in the UK, focusing on reducing employment disparities for marginalised groups.

They drive systemic change through grants, policy influence, and evidence-based interventions to ensure all young people have access to quality employment opportunities.

Description

  • Support the Director of Legal & Governance in managing legal risk and developing legal templates across the organisation.
  • Prepare grant agreements and contracts, ensuring compliance with internal and legal standards.
  • Assist colleagues in negotiations with partners and in developing policies and processes related to contract management and authorisation.
  • Monitor and communicate updates in compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct legal research and address legal queries as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks associated with legal risk management, including liaising with external legal counsel.
  • Maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR and data security policies.
  • Organise files and maintain effective record-keeping systems.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and manage communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Profile

The successful Commercial Paralegal should have:

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Secretary, Paralegal, or similar role within a law firm, legal department, or non-profit organisation.
  • Relevant qualifications in legal studies, legal secretary, paralegal, or comparable.
  • Ability to work sensitively, confidentially, and exercise excellent judgement and discretion.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in developing legal templates and policies.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory environments.

Job Offer
