IMC Locums are looking for a skilled Inpatient Physiotherapist for a client in the Midlands on a locum basis. You will play a crucial role in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients across a variety of inpatient settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver physiotherapy treatment programs for inpatients, including those recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive care and support the patient's journey to recovery.
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and exercises to aid in recovery.
- Manage a varied caseload with conditions such as post-operative recovery, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders, and complex medical cases.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with professional standards and guidelines.
- Support the early discharge process by facilitating safe mobility and functional independence for patients.
Requirements:
- Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or equivalent).
- Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Previous experience working as a physiotherapist in an inpatient setting (NHS or private sector).
- Experience in managing post-surgical, medical, and respiratory conditions.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and manual therapy skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a locum or agency setting.
- Familiarity with NHS systems and processes.
- Experience in specialized areas such as neurology, orthopaedics, or elderly care.
