The Head of HR will oversee all aspects of human resources, ensuring alignment with objectives and compliance with UK employment laws. This role involves line managing the HR team. The Head of HR will develop and implement HR strategies, manage employee relations, and ensure effective HR operations.

An Education Trust located in North London. Please note: The post holder will be required to travel to different school sites

Description

Reporting directly into the CEO, the Head of HR will support with strategic plans, developing innovative HR processes to ensure that the organisation is viewed as an employer of choice. This includes fostering a positive organisational culture, promoting staff engagement, and implementing best practices to attract and retain top talent within the education sector.

Additionally, the Head of HR will work collaboratively and responsively with Heads, ensuring that their HR needs are met efficiently. The role also involves working closely with the CEO on a range of issues, providing expert HR advice and support to achieve the organisations overall objectives.

Please note: The post holder will be required to travel to different school sites (you will be based in North London)

Profile

The successful Head of HR should have:

  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and legislation relating to employment law
  • Full working knowledge of statutory HR policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of teachers' pay and conditions and NJC Terms and Conditions
  • Knowledge of payroll provision and pension schemes including LGPS and TP
  • Experience working with Unions
