Job Title: Static Handyperson

Location: Reading

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: One week: 6am - 3pm, Following week: 8am - 5pm. Supporting in the on-call rota.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Static Handy person to join our team based in Reading. As a Static Handy person, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various aspects of our facilities and equipment. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including participation in an on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Perform inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a handy person or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and participate in the on-call rota.
