Senior Network Engineer | Cisco / Juniper | Defence Consultancy | Up to £80,000 + £5,000 bonus | Hemel Hempstead | DV Clearance Required
MERITUS are working with a leading defence consultancy looking for an experienced Network Engineer (Cisco / Juniper) to work on customer site in Hemel Hempstead.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in the design, build & management of secure Network Infrastructure. They will work closely with customer teams to build complex a scaleable infrastructure, including LAN's, VLAN's, WAN's & Routing & Switching while adhering to strict security controls & specifications. To be successful you will need strong experience managing secure networks with strong exposure to Cisco & Juniper products.
The role is based on-site in Hemel Hempstead & due to the nature of the work candidates are required to hold active DV security clearance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide the technical direction for the build, delivery and maintenance of secure Network Infrastructure (Cisco / Juniper).
- Be hands-on in all aspects of the design, build, deployment and support of customer facing systems.
- Employ and adapt industry-leading techniques and best practices to suit customer challenges.
- Work within existing monitoring, observability and security frameworks to achieve customer requirements.
Required Experience:
- In depth experience in the design, build & management of Network Infrastructure including Cisco & Juniper products.
- CCNA / CCNP qualifications preferred.
- Ability to produce design/build documentation, and follow/interpret complex installation/commissioning documents.
- Active DV security clearance.
