Grounds Maintenance Officer

Salary - £29,269 - £32,076

Hours – Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm
Start date – ASAP
My client, based in Spencer's Wood, are looking for a grounds maintenance officer to join their friendly team, working mostly independently you will be over seeing the health and safety of the grounds, responsible for the presentation and daily maintenance of the council grounds.
Duties will include:
- Opening the building in the mornings and at weekends when available (or ensuring alternative cover is in place when not available)
- Setting up rooms in accordance with the requirements of the Activity Report including changeovers during the day
- Carry out routine maintenance within the building or for larger issues arrange contractor(s)
- Inspecting the condition of the building each morning including immediate exterior
- Review CCTV for reported acts of anti-social activity or similar as required
- Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and inspections
- Arranging access for contractors as required
Essential criteria:
- Full UK clean driving license
- Computer literate and able to utalise booking systems and Microsoft office
- Prepared to carry out lone working for large parts of the working day
- Experience of carrying out a wide range of handyman duties, including decorating and minor maintenance works.
- Is courteous and effective when dealing with people
- Able to carry out a physically demanding role
