News Editor

We are seeking an experienced News Editor to join one of our most innovative clients.

Note, this position will offer flexibility to work from home 4 days per week with a min of 1 days per week in office.

News Editor - Permanent position - salary up to £35,000 pa plus benefits, just north of the City of London.

Basic salary is dependent on experience.

Who will you be working for?

Our client is an established and successful but small media business located in central London, zone 1 not far from the City of London.

What will you be doing?

As News Editor, your main responsibility will be to curate and deliver high-quality content across multiple platforms including print and digital, setting the agenda for the convenience channel. Collaboration with various teams is essential to maintain reputation for excellence in content and trusted relationships within the industry.

This would suit somebody who has previous experience in a newsroom, sourcing and producing compelling copy

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Source, write, commission, and publish compelling business news and insights relevant to the convenience market.

  • Identifying and reporting on industry events

  • Publishing breaking news across the digital platform

  • Developing and delivering accurate copy for various print and digital platforms

  • Pitching and delivering stories

  • Maintaining excellent contacts

  • Working closely with insights teams to share information

  • Building a strong line of communication with the design and production teams

  • Strong experience of writing and producing news items for print and online news sources.
