They are a not for profit organisation who, over number of years, have developed an excellent reputation in the region. Recent investment has started a large transformation programme which will include a project to implement Salesforce and the consolidation of a number of business systems into that new platform.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Salesforce Solutions Architect to work on the design and build of an IT roadmap, furthering the implementation and use of Saleforce to drive efficiencies into the business. The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, where you will work both from the Sunderland head office and from home.
Working within an Agile mindset, reporting to the Head of Solutions you will work alongside Product Owners, Developers and Infrastructure. You will collaborate with the Product Owners of the current IT Landscape and Stakeholders to help aid our digital transformation to our Salesforce solution.

You will be responsible for Solution Design and Architecture. Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions, considering business requirements, scalability, integration capabilities, security, and performance. Define technical architecture, data models, and workflows to deliver effective solutions.
Act as Salesforce Product Owner; maintain strong relationships with Salesforce and other third parties to realise the development needs of the Group and active participation in product road mapping. Prioritise product backlogs based on business objectives and priorities in conjunction with existing Product Owners' roadmaps.
Be at the forefront of Stakeholder Collaboration. Engage with business stakeholders and project teams to gather and analyse requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of business processes, challenges, and objectives.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Design of end-to-end Salesforce solutions (including integrations).
- Creating Salesforce architecture artefacts, such as data models, ER diagrams and process flows
- Configuration of Field Service Lightening
- Working with multiple clouds including Sales, Service or Marketing and experience with Salesforce API integrations
The Person
Candidates will need to have a mix of Salesforce knowledge and also the ability to look at the company processes from an Solutions/Enterprise Architecture perspective then start to design the strategy from the ground up.
An understanding of TOGAF or Zachman would be beneficial.
Proven experience of Salesforce is essential, certification would be beneficial.
Demonstrable extensive knowledge of Salesforce products, capabilities, and ecosystems (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).
An expert understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) with knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and other relevant Salesforce development tools and languages.
The role will require you to be in the office 3 days per week.
Salary will be up to £85,000
