One of the highest rated independent MGA's in the UK, based in the Kent area that specialise in Property / Commercial insurance. They have fantastic relationships with their panel of brokers and expert knowledge of their products.
After several years of positive performance, they are now looking to add an Underwriter to their team and would consider individuals from both an Underwriting and Broking background.
Your new role
Your main focus in this role will be to retain and expand the existing book of business, focusing on keeping customer service levels as high as attainable.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients focusing on renewal negotiations and new business generation.
- Provide quotes for existing clients and negotiate insurance rates with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Manage the entire renewal process while also managing incoming enquiries and prioritising client communication.
- Ensure professionalism and accuracy when dealing with internal and external clients while also achieving retention and income targets.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3+ Years experience in Property / Commercial business
- Proven track record of reaching renewal retention targets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence to communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external, up to a senior level
What you'll get in return
