Accounts Administrator

A thriving SME in the Guildford area is looking to add an Accounts Administrator to their finance team on a temporary basis. This is a new requirement due to consistent company growth, which has reached a point where the department needs additional support.

The role is mainly focused on accounts receivable; however, you will have the chance to get involved with other tasks such as accounts payable.

What will the Accounts Administrator role involve?

  • Raising sales invoices and issuing pro-formas, ensuring these are received by customers in a timely fashion.
  • Posting and allocation of cash receipts.
  • Setting up customer accounts on the system and creating digital invoices using web portals.
  • Sending monthly statements.
  • Resolving customer and internal queries.
  • Covering other duties, e.g. purchase ledger and general administration.

Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Administrator vacancy:

  • Some experience in accounts receivable / sales ledger / credit control, ideally with exposure to other areas of accounting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills, with excellent spoken and written English.
  • Positive, proactive, ‘can do' attitude, well organised and willing to assist with whatever is required.
  • Knowledge of at least one major ERP system (ideally SAP) plus intermediate Excel (formulae and lookups).
  • Relevant degree / AAT studier (desirable).
  • Available at short notice – 1 week or less.
