Responsibilities
Reporting into the Logistics Department Manager you will be responsible for maintaining a safe warehouse facility for all NWF employees and visitors. You will accurately store materials within our goods in / out storage areas and maintain quality and freshness of raw materials and finished goods by rotating stock as per requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure team are trained to the required standard and all new starters have a meaningful and effective induction to the business
- Ensure Company Health and Safety and Hygiene rules are always adhered to
- Ensure all Customer requirements (internal and external) are met in full wherever possible
- Liaise/communicate with all areas/departments where necessary
- Responsible for H&S and GMP across Raw, Drystores and Despatch areas
- Manage holidays for shift to ensure appropriate crewing levels to meet business needs, manage absences
- Ensuring supply of Packaging to Unitise and Production
- Full Logistics area responsibility when on nights or in the absence of Logistics Department Manager
- Ensure smooth communications between hauliers and planning/production so that when collections times change production can still achieve 100% finished goods availability
About you:
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Can work under pressure and to hard deadlines
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Willing and open to learning new things
- Previous experience in warehouse would be an advantage
Shift pattern:
We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 6 to 6 covering days and nights.
12 hours shift with 3 breaks-20 min each.
You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically you would be working as follows:
DAYSHIFT 6am-6pm
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday
NIGHTSHIFT 6pm-6am
Week 3 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 4 - Wednesday & Thursday
You will receive a nightshift allowance of £1,000 per year, in addition to your salary.
