IT Manager UK & Ireland

We have an exciting opportunity available for an IT Manager (UK & Ireland) tojoin our Liverpool office**.** You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits.

The Role:

The primary purpose of the IT Manager (UK & Ireland) role is to be fully accountable for ensuring all IT systems in the UK & Ireland remain highly available, and that an excellent level of IT support is provided to the UK and Ireland business. Functionally reporting to the Europe IT Region they will adhere to Group IT & Security standards and assist locally with many IT related projects for the CMA-CGM group.

This position is also part of UK business management team, so attending and updating the UK Managing Director and other business managers on IT related issues and projects will be required on a regular basis, along with creating and updating IT budgets and overseeing IT procurement locally.

The UK consists of 5 offices and 1 in Ireland therefore travel to these offices is essential. Managing a team of 4 IT support staff locally and remote will also be required.

Your responsibilities as our IT Manager (UK & Ireland) will include:

  • Manage the IT Helpdesk and workload of 4 full time IT Support Individuals (Across multiple offices)
  • Support the Network Infrastructure (Patching / Fault finding etc.)
  • Provide Helpdesk service to users (In person / Electronically / Remotely)
  • Support Windows 2016 / 2019 / 2022 Server Infrastructure
  • Ensure all helpdesk calls are logged in Service Now
  • Ensure Team are all using Service Now efficiently
  • Review and ensure documentation is maintained by the team
  • Generate daily/weekly reports on helpdesk system for senior management
  • Trend calls and suggest ways of reducing the number of calls for repetitive incidents
  • Expert in CMA-CGM applications.

To succeed in the IT Manager (UK & Ireland), you'll need:

  • A degree / IT qualification and a minimum of 5 years IT support experience in a networked IT environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years Helpdesk/Support Management
  • ITIL Foundation Accreditation
  • Evidence of continual improvement of latest IT software / technologies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Clients) – all versions (10 and 11)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2016/ 2019 / 2022 Server
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory / DNS / DHCP etc... including Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
