New Opportunity Finance Manager position, Permanent.

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of a successful, privately owned business, working within the Technology Sector.

This firm offers a vibrant office environment and prides itself on the wellbeing and growth of its employees. The organisation are growing organically and through acquisition.

Reporting to the Managing Director and leadership team, the key function of this role will be to oversee a finance team, strengthen and enhance the quality and depth of financial reporting and provide analysis for the Management Team.

Role Overview:

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring robust financial management and strategic planning. This role requires a proactive individual with the drive and ambition to adapt and move the Finance department forward in line with the Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, month end / year end close and reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Analyse market trends and financial data to identify opportunities for growth and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • CIMA ACA,ACCA, AAT or QBE
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in finance management, preferably in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Exposure to Financial Accounting and control processes in a large, complex business.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High levels of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Good IT Systems, Excel and ideally SAGE 200.
