Are you a Finance Analyst looking to work across a business, adding value to stakeholders at every possible opportunity? NXTGEN are delighted to be supporting a global leader in their search for a Finance Analyst, a new role for the organisation which comes off the back of sustained success within a recently formed business unit. This is a very visible role which will see the successful candidate work with commercial and operational stakeholders to deliver timely insights, which will ultimately be used to influence the direction of this particular business unit. The Finance Analyst will play a key role in the production of month end reports and will continually review budget performance vs plan. You will meet regularly with budget holders and business unit leaders to identify areas for improved business performance and/or efficiencies, giving the successful candidate plenty of scope to add value. This is a brilliant opportunity to not only utilise your strong data and analytical skills but also hone your business partnering skills.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Support the delivery of month end reporting, including the review of budget and forecast submissions for your business units
  • Meet with senior stakeholders across your BU to provide financial insights on performance vs plan whilst also making recommendations to stakeholders when required
  • Review current commercial and operational reports covering areas that include pricing and supply chain, identifying areas for improvement or wider business opportunities
  • Support wider costing reviews to minimise risk of data errors whilst also ensuring costs are attributed to the relevant cost centre
  • Deliver consolidated financial and commercial reports into group

The successful candidate will ideally either be recently qualified or in the latter stages of their studies for an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). You will be confident working with large volumes of data, including using complex financial models and candidates will ideally have experience in a large/complex business. Any experience gained within a product based or manufacturing type environment would be significantly advantageous in this role. Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and will be confident working with a range of senior stakeholders. This experience will need to be demonstrated during an interview to be successful. This role offers outstanding career development prospects for the right candidate and given the visible nature of this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your own networks internally too.

Salary offered for this role is dependant on experience and qualification.
