Job Introduction

An integral role within our UK Procurement team and reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Data Coordinator (known internally as a Procurement Coordinator) will assist in the delivery of our core purpose: working in partnership to increase Inchcape's profitability procuring quality Indirect goods and services at the lowest total cost without compromising on quality or ethics.

The role will be a flexible hybrid working model - which gives the opportunity to balance working with the team in an office and remotely during the week, with your head office base being Solihull or Oxford. There will be a requirement to travel throughout the UK occasionally.

The right candidate will be an analytical thinker, with a keen eye for producing reliable and insightful data, as well as having proven experience and advanced proficiency in the use of Mircrosoft Excel. You will have experience of producing and presenting concise reports which will help the Procurement team to support business decisions. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your data analysis skills to drive improvements and create meaningful data.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboards

  • Providing meaningful insight using reports and dashboards to drive operational efficiencies and optimise our spend base
  • On-going maintenance and updating of procurement reports, spend, savings and contract dashboards
  • Sourcing, compiling, and analysing information to support the decision-making process for Procurement projects, category plans and tenders
  • Using reports to challenge spend (e.g., through leaked supplier spend analysis, category spend analysis and trends across the business)

Project Management

  • Gain experience in procurement projects by managing a section of the suppliers and or small value contracts
  • Work collaboratively with the business to ensure projects meet the business needs and sustainability goals

Procurement Tasks

  • Confident liaising and presenting to suppliers, internal departments and senior management team
  • Supporting in supplier reviews, to ensure contracted service levels are being adhered to
  • Challenge traditional way of thinking with guidance and innovative solutions
  • Set up and maintain P2P functionality to control and manage business purchasing
  • Working closely with all members of the Procurement team, supporting them with clear analysis of spend, performance data, supplier MI, building tenders, RFP submissions and market analysis

The Ideal Candidate

  • Advanced excel skills (Pivot tables, v-look up and other tools)
  • Computer literate (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data from multiple sources
  • Excellent analysis and insight skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good organisational and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail / data input accuracy
  • Strong team player
  • Self-starter with the drive to achieve success
  • Procurement background
  • Ideally some exposure to Power BI and/or Alteryx, ERP or P2P systems (Coupa, SAP, Oracle etc.)
  • Desire to progress within procurement potentially with CIPS training
  • Knowledge of automotive retail sector
