The opportunity should be very attractive to someone with experience in (and passion for) growth business and scaling a B2B tech enabled marketplace-like business model. Based in Birmingham you will be joining a 70-strong team, a business current turning over c£15m per annum and having recently reached breakeven. You will be top of the tree when it comes to making financially related business decisions to support the business through its growth stage.

As well as running the normal day-to-day finance functions the role also encompasses broader commercial insight through the numbers, reporting to external stakeholders and support of any future funding raising activities. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) you will attend the Board and be the financial custodian and guide for the business as it targets £50m+ turnover over the next few years.

Whilst the CFO / FD role is one of a strategic and analytical nature whilst the company grows the role will also require hands on management with the team and general accounting practices. This role will be fast-paced and needs an energetic self-motivated attitude used to shifting priorities to contribute in the most important areas for an ambition business and team.

In summary, you will have day-to-day oversight and management of the key financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc. plus being responsible for the production of key statutory and management reporting. The right candidate will build insight for the Board and the Management team on the key drivers of commercial performance and support of any future fund-raising activities and associated shareholder interactions. The role also includes being responsible for the negotiation and management of key commercial agreements including driver insurance, property and invoice factoring (excluding any network-related contracts). They would also expect this role to encompass the Company Secretary responsibilities.

This is a role for someone who is based in Birmingham and who is happy to be predominantly office based. Our client have beautiful offices in the City Centre and are offering an excellent salary and benefits for the right candidate.
