SEMH Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient indivuduals to join our team as a SEMH Learning Support Assistant .

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours and SEMH needs. You will play a crucial part in mentoring and supporting our students, helping them to develop positive behaviours and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1/2-1 and group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Assist in the development and delivery of tailored educational programs
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for learning and personal growth
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
