Azure Application Support Engineer - Fully remote

You will be a senior member of a small, busy, and dynamic team working in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, be a team player, and have demonstrable Azure experience whilst also bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table. Main duties and responsibilities: The team is responsible for all hosted applications, ensuring supportability and availability in accordance with agreed service levels. It is also responsible for maintaining the new Azure environment and any applications that sit within it. This role will also include assisting in the migration of services from the current data centre to the cloud, Deputising for the Manager for Service escalations and ensuring the smooth transition of new or changed services into production. Deciding on the appropriate approach to achieve the optimal outcomes Essential skills include:
- Strong Application Support
- Azure Administration
- PowerShell/Python
- Understanding of core infrastructure services, e.g., Networks, Domain, Firewalls etc.
- High Availability concepts
- Monitoring tools (Pingdom, Solar Winds etc.) Windows Server 2008-2016, SSL Certificate administration, deployment, and renewal Active Directory IIS/Java Tomcat Domain management - DNS, routing etc
- Excellent Communication skills
