Accounts Payable Manager

Working closely with the wider Finance Operations team, you will be responsible for leading the Accounts Payable team and supporting the team in providing the highest quality of service across the department.

Based in the city centre, our client adopts a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office, 2 working from home.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager will include but not be limited to:

  • Line managing a team of finance professionals - completing weekly 1:1's, appraisals and setting team strategies.
  • Reviewing and completing sign off of weekly payment runs.
  • Handling any escalations of disputes, engaging with stakeholders to resolve in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement e.g. identify 'Process to Pay' efficiencies and automation.
  • Building relationships both internally and externally.
  • Approvals of bank posting journals, manual bills, and month-end journals.

Your Profile:

  • Strong proven experience working in a similar Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor position, in a fast paced and high-volume environment.
  • End to end accounts payable and accounting knowledge is essential for this role.
  • Demonstrable experience where you have led on process improvements with successful outcomes.
  • Leadership and management skills, with engaging communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • ERP system usage is highly desirable.

In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £45-54k dependant on experience plus benefits including up to 10% bonus.
