Reed Business Support is recruiting on behalf of a Charity based in Headingley, our client is looking to add a Marketing & Events Coordinator to lead and develop marketing and communications activities within the trust, as well as managing the internal and external events programme. This role is integral to promoting their key programmes and ensuring the success of their events.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Regularly update the website, including refreshing content, updating news and events pages, and maximising SEO.
  • Design and deliver the overall social media strategy, including managing accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Support staff in using social media to promote the college and its activities.
  • Design and implement promotional campaigns to recruit students.
  • Prepare and distribute external newsletters.
  • Support the production of multimedia content such as films and podcasts.
  • Design and produce marketing materials for promotional purposes.
  • Act as the brand champion, ensuring consistency in design and messaging.
  • Create and share case studies showcasing college life and success stories.
  • Develop relationships with local and regional media outlets for coverage.
  • Design and manage key events, including Open Days and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate engagement with potential feeder schools and organisations.
  • Oversee extra-curricular clubs and social activities, providing support to session leaders.
  • Support the delivery of the Leeds Inclusive Employers Network events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A good standard of general education, minimum GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing and delivering social media campaigns.
  • Proficiency in updating websites and utilising SEO to increase traffic.
  • Experience in running inclusive and effective events.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience in writing engaging copy.
  • A good eye for design and production of accessible and effective marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, email, and internet.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
