Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Year 1 teacher to join our dynamic team, located in the vibrant community of WF2. As a Year 1 teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality education and care to children aged 5-7, fostering their intellectual, emotional, and social growth.This is a full-time day-to-day position commencing in September 2024, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs and interests of young learners.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication channels.
  • Assess children's progress and development, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to enhance the overall learning experience and school community.
  • Implement a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection, prioritizing the well-being and safety of all children.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of educational trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum UK primary teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
