This firm is looking for a Claims Adjuster, Professional Liability, Financial Liability and Cyber. This position reports to the Claims Manager and is located in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine extent of exposure to insured and company.
- Directly and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel.
- Provide outstanding customer service and build longstanding relationships with insureds, brokers, and partners.
- Communicate coverage positions to insureds.
- Set and monitor reserves within authority.
- Report to reinsurers and other insurance partners.
- Support business leaders on an as-needed basis on claims and underwriting related issues.
- Attendance at mediations and trials, as necessary.
Skills, Experience and Education
- Four to six years' experience as claims adjuster in London market.
- Specific experience in handling financial lines and cyber claims.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and systems, including ECF.
- Strong relational skills, particularly in adverse or high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience of working with Lloyd's/Lloyd's certifications a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills; ability to deal with customers and business partners in professional manner.
- Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based on detailed analysis of complex issues.
- Start-up nature of company necessitates willingness to adapt as needed to help team.
