SEND Teacher

A GOOD secondary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive team starting in September 2024. This full-time role is perfect for an individual committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and reports.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in SEND or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with students with a range of SEND.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
