I am currently working with a prestigious construction company who are looking for a Tax Manager to join their growing tax function. They have identified a gap in the Corporate Tax function due to increasing complexities in the group and have created a new role, reporting directly into the Head of Tax.
As the Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for someone passionate about tax and eager to make a significant impact to a constantly growing business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee direct tax compliance, reporting and accounting for the UK
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimise tax liabilities for real estate transactions
- Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and planning for property acquisitions, dispositions, and operations
- Responding to ad-hoc queries and supporting the Head of Tax on transaction advice as required
- Willingness to support the VAT Assistant Manager with the preparation of Group VAT returns and vice versa with the VAT Assistant Manager supporting the role holder with the preparation of CT returns.
Requirements:
- ACA/CTA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent
- Proven ability to work well with financial accounting systems (efficiently accessing reports, tracing transactions to source, etc.)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of corporate tax experience, with a strong background in property or construction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work individually and part of a team
