Senior Supply Chain Planner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define available warehouse stock and agreed client sales forecast and create manufacturing demand figure.
  • Maintaining supply prices
  • Completing new supplier/customer forms
  • Liaise with manufacturer to ensure product is being made in the clients agreed timeline.
  • Produce a recommended manufacturing schedule for agreement with the client.
  • Producing weekly production plans and material requirements agreed with the manufacturer.
  • Producing and sending forecast to manufacturer
  • Advising the client on what needs to be ordered and by when.
  • Monitoring delivery, availability, and stock levels of raw materials in line with the production plan and resolving any issues.
  • Maintain an effective relationship with clients and suppliers, including providing clients with feedback on supplier performance.
  • Continuously monitor best before dates, always communicating to the client
  • Weekly reporting
  • Responsible for understanding and communicating new processes internally when a new manufacturer comes onboard.
  • Billing materials - responsible for understanding what they are for each client and ensuring that they are accurately documented in the system.
  • Costings - Responsible for ensuring that these are accurately documented on the system.
  • Taking the ownership of any product recalls - liaising with the client, warehouse, customers, and internal communications
  • Month end stock reconciliation and adjustments
  • Ensure the client, coordinator, analyst, and CRM are kept up to date with current stock/out of stock/new stock coming in.
  • Responsible for setting up new suppliers.
  • Managing any critical issues which occur ensuring communication with the client and internal communications are always met.
  • Building relationships with suppliers' manufacturers, 3PL
  • Processes and Procedures - to continuously review, identify and implement improvements always communicating to the relevant departments.
  • Ensure the Supply Plan is always updated.
  • When a new manufacturer comes on board - responsible for ensuring we know and understand the new processes which the factory needs to follow.
  • Mentoring and supporting Operations Analyst

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE 5+in English and Maths)
  • Experience of using MS Excel in an Operations role.
  • Experience working in an Operations role.
  • Relevant experience of a similar role covering most of the same areas
  • Proficient in the use of inventory and accounting software, preferably SOS, Unleashed, QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage
  • Proficient in using MS Excel
  • Proactive
  • Good at building supplier relationships
