Finance Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Finance Manager for a real values-led Not For Profit based in Manchester. The role can be hybrid with other flexible family-friendly work patterns. Paying up to £55K, with an excellent pension, holidays, and other benefits

THE JOB

Reporting directly to the FD, The role will manage a small finance team and be responsible for the production of key financial and management information.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the production of the monthly management accounts, and business partnering packs
  • Variance analysis, cashflows and accurate and timely forecasting
  • Lead and manage the production and reporting of annual budgets, including providing any financial training and guidance to budget holders
  • Responsible for the review of payroll costs and reporting
  • Proactively spot opportunities for income generation, identifying key trends and issues affecting financial performance
  • Continual improvement of relevant finance systems and processes, driving through automation and efficiencies
  • Responsible for the finance business partnering function
  • Lead and develop the team, mentoring and coaching to engender a collaborative forward-thinking culture and ethos

THE PERSON

  • You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB) with relevant experience
  • Possessing strong relationship-building skills, and the natural ability to lead and motivate a team
  • You will have demonstrable experience of supporting internal and external stakeholders
  • You must have an excellent working knowledge of external and internal reporting cycles, management accounts and budget preparation and analysis, and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and accounting principles
  • Have excellent influencing and negotiation skills, be able to think methodically whilst acting strategically
  • Highly numerate with strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
