Description
- Oversee VAT reporting, ensuring compliance with current regulations
- Provide advice and guidance on VAT related issues to colleagues across the organisation
- Review and update VAT policies and procedures
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
- Conduct VAT audits and liaise with HMRC
- Participate in strategic financial decision making
- Provide training to staff on VAT related matters
- Stay up-to-date with VAT legislations and industry trends
Profile
A successful 'VAT Accountant' should have:
- An Accounting degree or equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and legislations
- Experience in a similar role within a not-for-profit organisation
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team
