Here at Academics, we are on the hunt to find a skilled SEN teacher who would thrive in a mainstream Primary school setting, supporting children across the school with SEN.

This role would suit a SEN teacher with a wide range of knowledge and experience teaching children with SEN and ensuring they can access the schools diverse and exciting school curriculum. The main area of SEN support required is ASD (Autism) with some children with complex and SEMH needs. The children are fully integrated into class and this role will see you running and intervention groups and working 121 where necessary to enhance and support their learning.

The school has a brilliant leadership team and you will be working closely with the SENCO and class teachers. The school has taken the time to create excellent home / school relationships with parents and carers across the board, with even more support in place for children with SEN, families. The school is a positive, well organised place to work, with a robust behaviour management policy ensuring children display good behaviour and all teaching staff are supported to deliver this.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for a new DBS)
  • Excellent Primary curriculum knowledge
  • Experience Teaching in SEND Settings
  • Willingness and adaptability to contribute to the wider school and local community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
