Accountant

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accountant/Part Qualified Accountant to join a well-established team. The main purpose of the role will be to support the business and Finance Director, ensuring all financial management tasks are completed accurately.

The role will require a hands-on technical accountant, very strong on bank/credit card recs, balance sheet recs, multi-tasking and audit knowledge.

This is a full time office based role, reporting to the Finance Director.

ROLE:

  • Undertake daily bank reconciliations.Update managers on bank receipts.
  • Compile and post Sales and Purchase Invoices/payments and update

accounts system.

  • Maintain stock book movements and stock book master files.
  • Running ACNC invoices.
  • Putting sales and purchase payments on the bank.
  • Preparation of draft monthly management accounts etc.
  • To reconcile Balance Sheet Control Accounts.
  • Maintain month and year end file of the main balance sheet accounts
  • Process and post monthly petty cash, credit card and expenses.
  • Prepare data for year-end audit.
  • Pension Fund invoicing and keeping records.
  • Invoice payments.
  • Chase Debtors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Well organised and competent
  • Excel - intermediate level or above
  • Word & Outlook- intermediate level or above
  • Sage
  • Group Accounting experience
  • Management accounts experience
  • Audit experience
  • Strong VAT Knowledge
