Description
This is a newly created role as a Finance Business Partner to help strengthen the team initially until the end of March 2025.
Reporting to a Head of Finance the role will be responsible for;
- Provide financial advice and support to the healthcare team.
- Facilitate the budgeting and forecasting process within the department.
- Coordinate with various teams to ensure financial compliance.
- Implement financial policies and procedures to enhance effectiveness.
- Participate in financial audits and implement corrective actions.
- Produce monthly management accounts and reports.
- Identify areas of cost reduction and operational improvement.
- Assist in strategic decision making by providing relevant financial insights.
- The role will also work closely with the Procurement team.
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
- Qualified by experience with relevant experience in a similar role or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- NHS Finance Experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent Analytical and Numerical Skills.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of procurement process in NHS would be beneficial.
- Project Management experience
- Experience of computerised financial accounting systems.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience in all Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Methodical and organised approach to work.
