Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 06:00 - 18:00, 18:00 - 06:00 - 42 hours per week (This position will be based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, across 7 days a week. There is also the opportunity to work overtime, when and as required)

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Security/Fire Officer to join our passionate and driven team based at our client's site in Great Cambridge Road, Hertfordshire

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Applicants for this role should hold an up to date SIA card as a requisite for this role. In addition some experience in the fire service would be an advantage, but not a necessity
  • All Applicants will have to undertake and fulfil a rigid Vetting Programme, where you will be required to supply employment history on application with any gaps in your employment being filled with proof or evidence
  • This position will be based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, across 7 days a week. There is also the opportunity to work overtime, when and as required
  • Shift times are a two shift system of 06.00 – 18.00 and 18.00 – 06.00
  • This position averages 42 hour per week at a rate of £12.74 per hour.
  • The role does encompass a variety of high level requirements as well as normal duties such as covering reception, traffic management to the site, welcoming guest's site inductions security patrols, checks and inspections and a number of administration activities
  • Also you will be expected to manage and operate all Fire equipment, including fire panels, alarm systems, extinguisher audits and planned evacuations, as a matter of compliance
  • You will be expected to have good planning and organisational skills, good communication skills and an all-around team ethic approach. Being able to work off your own initiative is essential.
  • Using Office software would be advantageous, but all training would be supplied
  • Applicants will need to be flexible with regard to the hours and possible short notice changes to appearances etc., but where possible, notice would be given as soon as possible.
