We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in Oldham. This full-time position offers the chance for a temp-to-perm contract, with the potential to extend until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support to students with a variety of learning needs
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Working one-on-one with pupils or in small groups to ensure they receive the targeted support needed
- Helping to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students
- Supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students
- Promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Learning Support or Teaching Assistant role
- Experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' holistic development
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications such as a Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable)
