Media Production Manager

Greys Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a renowned Digital Publishing Business based in Cheshire. Our client excels in producing specialised digital guides and publications, and we are seeking a proactive Integrated Production Manager to oversee the creation of print and digital publications. This role is critical to their operations and offers an excellent opportunity to hone management skills, innovate new products and processes, and enhance the service provided to our advertisers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Management

  • Coordinate schedules with business Directors.
  • Oversee content schedules with clients and the Business Development team.

Client and Advertiser Communication

  • Support the team in daily communications with advertisers to ensure timely advert completion.
  • Assist the team in obtaining design assets and proof approvals from advertisers.
  • Provide support for managing advertiser queries and act as an escalation point for complex issues.

Production Coordination

  • Manage directory data, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting.
  • Manage production work allocation.
  • Maintain a high design standard across the team, leading by example.
  • Lead the flat planning process for publications.
  • Ensure timely delivery of publications to clients.

Design and Publication

  • Collaborate with the Media Designers on designing and paginating publications.
  • Ensure publication assets are ready for digital e-book uploads.
  • Oversee and assist with amendments based on feedback.
  • Manage and participate in advert production using digital assets and instructions.
  • Facilitate the design of new publications.
  • Import and format directory data for trade products.

Digital Ad Management

  • Manage digital adverts on Google Ad Manager and the company website.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support Media Designers and Production Coordinators.
  • Lead by example, actively participating in day-to-day tasks.
  • Provide senior-level assistance and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the team.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Experience in print or digital publication production role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and formatting of directory-style data.
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and team interactions.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Desirable:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a small team.
  • Experience with digital ad management, particularly Google Ad Manager.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM/ERP system for managing workload and customer communication.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in digital and print publishing.
  • Experience working within an advertising environment.
