Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment are excited to be networking for a Site Manager to join the Team of one of our clients, a bespoke cleaning, security and healthcare service provider operating across the UK. Our client is a trusted and recognised pioneer of innovation within the industry, with a drive to explore new ways of working within the support services sector. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality, compliant and safe cleaning service delivery across the portfolio, providing direction and overall management of cleaning operations as necessary. You will direct company programs and implement company policy to ensure total compliance with the client. To be considered for this role, the ideal Site Manager will have a minimum of five years' experience in managing cleaning contracts, will be qualified in all relevant disciplines and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the total cleaning operation across all London sites, to include on site cleaning teams and third party suppliers in line with legislation; BICSs standards and client SLAs
  • Line management responsibilities for the assistant managers of the cleaning team, including planning, assigning and directing all tasks; performance evaluations; reward schemes; disciplinary issues
  • Accountable for the planning and execution of training schemes for all direct reports to ensure the appropriate skills are demonstrated at each level and are appropriate for the role
  • Provide regular reports to the client on KPI performance and develop innovative proposals to reduce the overall cleaning costs through ongoing review with site teams
  • Oversee the management of all third party supplier contracts to ensure alignment with client SLAs; value for money and/ or management of any shortfall
  • Promote and maintain a positive, proactive H&S culture within the cleaning team and wider on site teams through training; communication; unsafe act/ condition reporting and lessons learned
  • Financially accountable for the cleaning budget, to include staffing; equipment; consumables; third parties
  • Comply with and support industry standard accreditation such as IS14001; IS18001; Investors in People; BICSs
  • Ensure the recruitment, induction; training and motivation of staff to achieve required standards of performance
  • Deliver effective communication and reporting within the cleaning operation; other service delivery teams; wider management and the client
  • Produce and maintain an appropriate succession plan for the team identifying skills, gaps and training requirements
  • Accountable for the creation and execution of work schedules in line with contract SLAs, work order management and other client/ management requests
  • Management responsibilities in accordance with the organisation's policies and applicable laws
  • Oversee standards of cleaning across the site through quality checks and audit. Complete reports and action plans as appropriate
  • Identify and implement ongoing best practice, standardisation and technology improvements to the cleaning operation
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided at all levels with the organisation in order to meet/ exceed the customer's expectations
  • Assist in the reporting of building/ cleaning issues and the raising of helpdesk tickets to ensure total service delivery to the client
  • Attend external and internal training events as required
  • Liaise with colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Attend off site and in-house training events
  • Provide guidance and support to management on all matters within the cleaning operation
  • Report any building defects and hazards to the Customer Service Helpdesk
  • Assist in ensuring all cleaning work orders are responded to quickly and efficiently within agreed SLAs
  • Follow company procedures for the reporting of holidays, sickness and other absences
  • Meet company expectations in relation to conduct and performance
