Senior Marketing Executive

Merrifield Consultants are partnering with a children's hospice to find a Senior Marketing Executive to join a fantastic organisation who have punched beyond their weight in communications activities for some time, winning numerous awards along the way. We are looking for an experienced candidate in marketing, with an impressive track record of delivering marketing campaigns and managing content.

Job Title: Senior Marketing Executive

Organisation: Children's Hospice

Salary: £30,000

Location: Winchester (3 days a week in the office, could be flexible)

Contract: One year Fixed Term Contract (Maternity cover)

Start date: September

Job Responsibilities:

This role is focused on communicating, developing and marketing the charity's impact, brand and charitable purpose. The Marketing Executive raises awareness of the charity's brand, and its work supports the Fundraising team in meeting their objectives.

Press:

  • Write and deliver press releases focused on fundraising
  • Maintain good communication with press stakeholders

Stewardship:

  • Continue development of audience segmentation and user experience
  • Develop acquisition and retention campaigns and monitor ROI of campaigns

Case Studies:

  • Collaboratively and independently, create video & written Case Studies in-line with agreed budget
  • Maximise and report on reach and impact of all Case Studies
  • Manage content requests and content management platform with Marketing team

Website:

  • Write and publish a schedule of stories that champion care and fundraising
  • Ensure website content is inclusive and accessible

Social media:

  • Manage a varied schedule of content in collaboration with marketing team colleagues
  • Create engaging content that reflects hospice services
  • Deliver positive and measurable supporter stewardship across all social channels

Video:

  • Produce, film and edit videos that show daily life at the hospices and family interviews
  • Manage relationship with suppliers and filmmakers
  • Create videos for Fundraising team

Advertising:

  • Manage planning, performance and reporting of digital ad campaigns

Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record of delivering impactful marketing campaigns focused on audience acquisition and retention as well as brand
  • Demonstrable experience in content creation and management
  • Proven ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in managing local and national press schedules
  • Excellent working knowledge of key social networking sites
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, such as PECR and GDPR
  • Educated to degree level or experience in a comparable role
  • Strong working knowledge of video editing, videography, photography and interview skills
  • Good working knowledge of email marketing software and automated journeys
  • Good Experience of Content Management systems
  • Experience with CRM databases
  • Design experience - including the use of Photoshop, InDesign or similar packages
  • Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft suites

This role is perfect for an inspiring and engaging storyteller with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a background in marketing campaigns.
