Account Manager - York Area

Adept Resourcing are currently recruiting on behalf of a new client based on the outskirts of York who are looking to add an Account Manager to their structural team on a permanent basis.

This is for one of the UKs leading structural steel suppliers who are continuously growing and looking to expand the business!

The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience in the Steel / Structural sectors and want to further their career by becoming part of a supportive, motivated happy team

Key role and responsibilities of an Account Manager:

  • Answering incoming phone enquiries about stock pricing and availability
  • Communicating frequently with existing and potential customers
  • Undertake any offered training and education to familiarise yourself with our products and systems
  • Provide information and guidance (with the assistance of colleagues) to customers to close sales
  • Organise face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure orders taken are correct, in stock, and shipped correctly
  • Communicating with and giving feedback to the Product Manager and colleagues
  • Developing and managing your own sales
  • Maintaining good relationships with team colleagues and managers

The ideal candidate:

  • A proven track record as an experienced sales person.
  • Using good judgement and professionalism to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Accountability and honesty in communication with colleagues.
  • Positive open and fair-minded
  • Valid Driving licence.
  • Sharing ideas, challenges and successes within the team.

This is a permanent job opportunity for the candidate following a successful interview stage with the company. The working hours are Monday to Friday and can be flexible around core hours/within the team. The annual salary is £40,000 depending on experience and will be discussed at interview stage.
