We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our client's team in Wellingborough, North Northamptonshire. This is a temporary position with a contract length of 12 months, working full-time hours. PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. UNFORTUNATELY ANYTHING LESS THAN THIS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

As an HR Administrator, you will provide effective and efficient administrative support to our client's HR team. You will be responsible for resolving HR and recruitment queries, answering phone calls, and dealing with enquiries from colleagues, members of the public, and candidates. Your strong communication and problem-solving skills will be key in resolving complaints and issues in a timely manner.

To excel in this role, you should be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic information systems. Experience in prioritising and organising workloads to meet deadlines is essential. You should also demonstrate a level of awareness of diversity issues appropriate to this role.

Desirable criteria for this position includes previous experience working for a public service such as the Police or Fire and Rescue Service, as well as experience working in a HR environment.

Key responsibilities:

Proactively resolve HR and recruitment queries received via email or service requests
Stay up to date with current policies and basic employment law to effectively resolve complaints and issues
Raise purchase orders and monitor their progress to ensure timely payment
Input and maintain accurate personal data on HR and recruitment systems
Review and maintain accurate process maps and procedures, making recommendations for improvement
Work to monthly pay deadlines, completing a wide range of transactional HR tasks
Book, manage, and supervise drug and biometric screenings of candidates
Allocate candidates to National Sift and Online Assessment Centre and organise and supervise interviews
Utilise excellent communication skills to build good working relationships with colleagues and external partners
Assist with providing personal information in accordance with Force Policy, Data Protection, and Freedom of Information Acts/GDPR regulations
Plan and book Hay panels meetings

Essential criteria for this role includes holding a CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent (or willingness to undertake the qualification), having a level of awareness of data protection and GDPR regulations, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, and experience in a customer-focused environment where resolving queries electronically, face to face, and over the phone was critical.
