Location: The Commercial Director can choose to operate from either the Manchester, Liverpool or Wigan office.

Salary: £70-102,000 + bonus + car allowance + corporate benefits

The Role

Reporting directly to both the MD and owner, the Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the business strategy to achieve commercial success. This role involves overseeing all commercial activities, with a strong focus on generating new business opportunities. This includes leading the tender process, establishing relationships with new local authorities, sourcing and evaluating new acquisition opportunities, increasing capacity through partnerships with housing associations, and developing new service lines and satellite offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the supported living or healthcare sector, with a proven track record in driving growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the tendering process for new contracts and renewals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, healthcare providers, and potential partners
  • Proactively seek and secure new partnerships with housing associations, social landlords, property investors and developers to increase the company's capacity and service offerings.
  • Develop and execute a long-term strategic commercial plan.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
  • Originate new acquisition opportunities across supported living, homecare, domiciliary care and the wider healthcare sector.

  • Experience in developing and rolling out new service lines and satellite offices.
  • Competence in risk assessment for new bids and operational process improvement.
  • Experience in market research and developing strategies for customer retention.
