Job Title: Physiotherapist
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Work Hours: Flexible start and finish times, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Location: Adult care home settings predominantly in Carlisle area and West Cumbria
Purpose of the Role:
As an autonomous practitioner, you will provide treatment primarily for care home staff with musculoskeletal conditions. You will collaborate with Occupational Health, HR and OD, Health and Safety, and Managers to achieve improved health outcomes and develop clinical pathways.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality service as a specialist autonomous practitioner across the adult care sector.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and interventions using advanced clinical reasoning skills.
- Perform specialist treatment interventions utilizing highly developed manual skills, in-depth knowledge of pain and psychological sciences, the physiology of exercise, and advanced physiotherapy skills.
- Communicate complex and sensitive clinical and managerial information effectively.
- Work closely with the health and safety training coordinator to advise and educate staff on practices to prevent musculoskeletal injuries.
- Provide expert advice and support in managing complex patient presentations.
- Manage administrative functions related to referral, treatment, and discharge processes.
- Identify clinical priorities and service development needs with colleagues.
- Ensure effective use of all resources and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Enhanced DBS check
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registration
- MSc Level study or equivalent
- Evidence of specialist knowledge and training
- MSK treatment experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent record-keeping and administration skills
- Car driving licence and access to a car with willingness to travel across Cumbria
