We are recruiting for a Science Communication Officer to work within the Science team, here at the No7 Beauty Company. This will be a full-time role based in the Nottingham support office.

About the role

The Science Communication Officer will be an important part of the Science team, reporting into the Senior Science Communication Manager. The science team conduct research studies with external partners to drive new insights and innovation opportunities for No7 Beauty Company and build the scientific credibility and credentials of our brands. You will be critical in continuing to help build this scientific credibility through compelling science storytelling.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Science content generation, communication, and education

  • Support the Senior Science Communication Manager with creating content and digital assets that bring the science behind No7 Beauty Company products to life brilliantly. Target audiences include colleagues, dermatologists and journalists.
  • Support the global education department with creating science-based training content for in-store advisors.
  • Review and approve for accuracy science comms.
  • Create best in class content and materials for the ongoing engagement of our US and UK dermatologist networks.
  • Support science content creation for No7 Beauty Company exhibits at US/UK dermatology conferences.
  • Support a culture of excellence in our science communications.
  • Scientific research:

Help manage 1-2 research projects in skin science with reputable academic institutions in the UK or US to drive new insights, innovation and scientific storytelling opportunities.

What you'll need to have

  • You will have a biological, medical or pharmaceutical sciences degree and ideally a PhD.
  • You will have first class communication skills with an exceptional ability to translate science for different audiences and through different communication channels.
  • A high digital competence with an ability to generate engaging visual schematics and presentations.
  • You will have strong attention to detail.
  • You will excel at building strong relationships with external partners.
  • You will be confident at dealing with external and internal audiences.

It would be great if you also have

  • It would be great if you were media trained and had some knowledge of skin biology.
