Risk Transformation Lead - Financial Services
I am seeking an experienced Risk Transformation Lead to join a dynamic and forward-thinking risk management team within a leading financial services organisation. This role will play a pivotal part in a multi-year clearing transformation programme, where you will lead risk-related activities and ensure regulatory and operational standards are met.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Lead risk management efforts for the transformation of the clearing service, ensuring alignment with overall modernisation goals.
- Act as the primary liaison between the transformation programme and internal risk experts, covering market, liquidity, collateral, and quantitative risk areas.
- Define both functional and non-functional requirements for the target platform.
- Oversee regulatory compliance and contribute to decision-making to strike the right balance between risk management and commercial objectives.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and clearing members, to ensure risk management standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Enterprise Risk, Operational Resilience, and other business units to align solutions with broader business requirements.
**Skills and Experience Required:
- Extensive experience in risk management within clearing and post-trade environments, gained in either market infrastructure providers or consultancy.
- Deep understanding of CCP (Central Counterparty) risk management practices and FMI (Financial Market Infrastructure) operational resilience.
- Knowledge of UK/EU regulations affecting clearing house design and operations.
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of clearing systems.
- Strong analytical skills, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
