gap personnel Exeter are recruiting for a Sail Maker (trainee) on a fixed term contract for our client based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth, Devon.
You will be joining a leading company that provides Engineering Services to the Defence, Security, Nuclear and Emergency Services.
As a Sail Maker (trainee) you will be required to manufacture protective weather screens and covers. This is a safety critical role and successful candidates would need to be prepared to work shifts, and overtime to support the business needs.
About you:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to work at height or in confined spaces.
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
- Boating or Dockyard experience is beneficial.
- Background in textiles or fabrics
Pay & Hours:
- £16.44ph, paid weekly
- Monday to Thursday (0730am – 1530pm) & Friday 0730am – 1230pm, 35hours per week.
