Finance Manager Based in Hampton Hill Full time permanent office based role Salary: up to £60,000 per annum.

To provide support to the Finance Director in the management of the day-to-day function of the Finance department, including management and financial accounting/reporting to deadlines, internal controls, cash flow/treasury management, budgeting and ad hoc analysis as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the FD with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, control account reconciliations and all other supporting schedules for management information pack.
  • Have full understanding of the numbers reported and able to speak knowledgably regarding budget variances.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget for the group.
  • To liaise with auditors and provide requested audit information to ensure smooth and timely audit process.
  • Maintain nominal ledgers, ensuring clear audit trail for all entries.
  • To undertake a range of duties using the company's accounting systems including preparation and input of journals, production of accounts and analysis as required.
  • Monitor and manage bank and cash transactions including online banking.
  • To provide support to all areas of the Finance department and take on ad hoc tasks/ analysis as required by the FD.
  • Responsible for raising and administering sundry electronic payments and to process the business card expense claims.
  • To undertake daily bank reconciliation, cashflow forecasting/monitoring and maintain the housekeeping of the online banking system.
  • To liaise with internal customers ensuring that internal and external queries are dealt with punctually and professionally.
  • To provide cover where necessary for invoicing/payments/cash collection and funding areas as typical in an SME environment

Person Specification

  • Extensive accounts experience and knowledge of accounting procedures/processes
  • Experience of an SME environment (Desirable)
  • Proficient in Visual Basic (Desirable)
  • Experience of working within a quality driven framework
  • Ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines under pressure. Attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as being an excellent team-player.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally in small meetings.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Articulate
  • Accountable and possess high levels of integrity.
  • Confident telephone manner
  • ACCA or CIMA qualified (or finanlist)
