Responsibilities:

As a Service Planner, you will:

  • Manage the diary for engineer's work, efficiently scheduling daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Raise and book repair/call-out jobs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for ordering parts and materials.
  • Liaise with subcontractors for their visits.
  • Provide quotations to customers for required works.
  • Schedule service visits and update internal spreadsheets.
  • Build maintenance schedules and input them into the system for engineers.
  • Handle the Service department's inbox and respond to email queries.
  • Answer telephone calls from customers.
  • Assist the Office Manager with ad-hoc contract administration duties.
  • Check and approve engineer's timesheets.
  • Record sickness and annual leave for engineers and office staff.
  • Generate invoices for client jobs.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a service planning, coordination, administration role within the engineering industry.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to multitask effectively and work well under pressure.
  • Adaptability and a proactive attitude when faced with unexpected situations.
