Network Engineer - Routing and Switching (to be Field based)
Looking for an experienced Networking Engineer to be trained on installations and service maintenance of IPTV systems (networked media solutions) and the associated Wi-Fi systems, installed in commercial clients buildings (mainly hotels).
This role is to install, service and support professional, secure wired and wireless networking solutions, that integrate with the payment systems (PMS & EPOS systems) in mostly hotels.
Majority of the project work is in the SE of England / London, and the majority of support can be completed via remote log in. The head office is located in Billingshurst, West Sussex, an ideal home location would be 1 hours driver thereof.
This role involves covering sites UK-wide, with occasional international travel. You must be flexible to do occasional overnight stays, both in the UK and internationally when they are doing installations and upgrade projects.
Technically applicants need to be confident in setting up routers and switches, able to solve configuration or security issues, have previous transferable experience implementing and maintaining similar wired, wireless & secure networking solutions, have hands on data cabling skills, and a good knowledge of switching and routing.
They mainly use the HP Aruba range of switches, knowledge of similar i.e. Juniper, Huawei, Cisco switching would be acceptable, as the principles are very similar.
Full training on their media systems side of the solution will be given.
Applicants for this role must have: a full UK driver's licence, be able to pass DBS checks, be flexible to travel, and have worked as a Network Engineer with responsibility for Wi-Fi, IP Networking, switching etc.
Salary on offer will be around basic £30 - £35K (DoE) + £3500 in on call (1 in 5) + Co Car (VW Passat) or tax-free van option.
