Role: Business Improvement Specialist - HRIS ( Workday )
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE
Location: Hybrid with very infrequent travel to Nottinghamshire HQ Office / Milton Keynes site.
Hours: Monday to Friday. 9 - 5.30.
Open to flexibility of earlier or later start / finish.

About the role:
We're seeking an outgoing and knowledgeable HRIS expert to become a key player in a tight-knit team of three. As the system lead, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and upskilling your two teammates as they transition to the new Workday HR software platform.
The organisation is currently undergoing end-to-end testing, with the system scheduled to go live in October 2025.
In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for system-related queries managing service tickets, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a smooth and seamless user experience.
You'll report directly to the HR Director and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the success of this system rollout.
An insight into the role:
- Oversee the configuration of key Workday modules, from compensation and benefits to job profiles, cost centres, and supervisory structures, ensuring our systems are set up to drive success across every corner of the business
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment with GDPR standards
- Be the go-to problem solver for system queries, tackling service tickets and resolving issues swiftly to keep the user experience running smoothly
- Develop, maintain, and deliver insightful reports using Workday's reporting tools, helping the business make data-driven decisions
- Review and refine existing HR processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, and IT to align system configurations with business objectives and user needs
- Craft clear, engaging user guides and training resources, making sure every colleague is set up for success when using our systems
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience working with Workday HCM, ideally across multiple modules
- A keen eye for detail and a knack for spotting process improvement opportunities — you're all about making systems work smarter
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage data integrity, audit processes, and report effectively
- Experience in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment, with a solid understanding of GDPR and data privacy best practices
