The Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join this dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher and SENCO to support children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individualised attention and assistance they require.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Support the teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans and adapting resources.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Assist with personal care and physical needs, if required.

Promote the social and emotional development of pupils.

Collaborate with external professionals and specialists.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.

A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
